Portrait Collection

Best known as the drummer for David Bowie’s Spiders from Mars, Woody has always been driven by a desire to connect—first through rhythm, now through visual art. His portrait collection is an extension of that same creative spirit: raw, instinctive, and deeply human.

Drawing on decades spent touring the world and observing people from all walks of life, these paintings are emotional studies as much as they are faces. Some are inspired by characters real or remembered, others born entirely from imagination. All are grounded in feeling—capturing moments of intensity, stillness, humour, or vulnerability.

This is a collection shaped by experience, not art school. An artist’s eye guided by a musician’s heart.
